Vita Student's next‑level apartment design offers a variety of studios to suit our students' lives. We are expanding our housekeeping team with an experienced Housekeeper to deliver a luxury, home‑from‑home cleaning service for our residents' studio apartments while ensuring our premium site & facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
Responsibilities- Provide personalised room cleaning service to students, ensuring studios are clean, healthy and presentable.
- Work according to designated schedules; cleaning duties include dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, anti‑bacterial cleaning of surfaces and making beds.
- Ensure our facilities are looked after respectfully by students & guests.
- Maintain the upkeep of our premium site & facilities.
- Be on hand, delivering solutions to issues or challenges that may arise.
- Serve as point of contact for any potential incident or emergency that may occur onsite.
- Maintain waste management areas, following health & safety regulations, ensuring potential hazards are addressed, cleaned, tidied and reorganised as required.
- Use a smartphone or tablet to record & manage each studio clean: photograph each studio before and after cleaning.
- Report any concerning behaviour of students that could indicate a welfare concern.
- Monitor cleaning stock levels and communicate needs to the Assistant Residence Manager or Residence Manager; assist in ordering stock to maintain appropriate inventory.
- Understand and follow COSHH regulations to protect health and safety when using cleaning chemicals.
- Well‑versed housekeeping professional with experience in large, multi‑room residence facilities such as accommodation buildings, hotels or hospitals.
- Technologically astute; able to support a range of technology systems and software.
- Good understanding of COSHH regulations and practices.
- Ability to thrive in a multicultural environment, welcoming colleagues and residents from diverse backgrounds and beliefs.
- Excellent communication skills;
English is primary spoken language, multi‑lingual skills welcomed. - Adaptability, creativity and positivity.
- Resilience and ability to navigate unexpected situations effectively.
- Physical capability to perform tasks that may involve extended periods of standing and repetitive movements, with reasonable adjustments considered where required.
- Flexibility to accommodate residents' needs during festive and religious celebrations and to provide continuous service, including 24/7 operation.
- Holidays: paid pro‑rated on a pro‑rated basis reflective of hours worked; 28 days pro‑rated for 18 hours per week, including England & Wales Bank Holidays.
