Salary and Hours£25,877 per annum (pro‑rated for 20 hours per week). Early shift work starts from 5am.
AboutThe Role
As a Cleaning Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across all Sheffield College sites. You will be responsible for ensuring that all cleaning tasks are carried out efficiently to a high standard, following the college’s Health & Safety procedures. Working as part of a team, you will help ensure that all areas are kept clean, presentable, and safe for students, staff, and visitors.

Main Responsibilities- Cleaning, washing, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing and vacuum cleaning designated areas to the required standard.
- Emptying litter bins and removing waste to designated areas, ensuring correct disposal.
- Cleaning of toilets and washrooms to the required standard where allocated.
- Spray cleaning and scrubbing floors.
- Salary: £25,877 per annum (pro‑rated for hours worked).
- NEST Pension with employer contribution of 3%.
- Annual leave: 30 days (222 hours) plus 8 bank holidays (59.2 hours), including a discretionary Christmas closure period.
