Pay rate: £12.71/hour

Hours:

7:30 – 4:30 with an hour lunch
Initial 4 week contract but this could be extended
Job Purpose
To provide professional window cleaning services across a portfolio of student accommodation properties. The role involves working as part of a window cleaning team cleaning internal and external glazing to a high standard using modern window cleaning methods, including 65 foot water-fed telescopic pole systems, while ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and delivering excellent customer service in occupied and vacant student residences.

Key Responsibilities
 
* Clean internal and external windows, glass doors, entrance glazing, communal areas, and other glazed surfaces within student accommodation buildings.
 
* Operate water-fed telescopic window cleaning pole systems safely and effectively to clean external windows.
 
* Inspect windows and glazing for defects or damage and report maintenance issues to management.
 
* Safely transport, set up, and maintain all window cleaning equipment.
 
* Follow site-specific risk assessments, method statements, and company safe systems of work.
 
* Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all health and safety requirements.
 
* Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.
Essential Requirements
 
* Previous experience in window cleaning.
 
* Proven ability to use water-fed telescopic window cleaning pole systems safely and effectively.
 
* Experience working within occupied residential or educational environments is desirable.
 
* Knowledge of safe working practices, including manual handling and risk assessment procedures.
 
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
 
* Good attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality cleaning standards.
 
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 
* Good communication and customer service skills.
 
* Physically fit and capable of handling window cleaning equipment throughout the working day.
 
* Full UK driving licence (preferred or essential depending on operational requirements).
 
* Understanding of COSHH regulations.
 
* Knowledge of health and safety requirements within student accommodation and facilities management environments.
 
* Good organisational and time management skills.
Health & Safety Responsibilities
 
* Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and all company policies and procedures.
 
* Follow all site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
 
* Use and maintain appropriate PPE.
 
* Report accidents, incidents, near misses, defects, and unsafe conditions promptly.
 
* Ensure all equipment is used, maintained, and stored safely.
 
* Follow safeguarding and security procedures when working within occupied student accommodation
