Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Groundskeeper
Field Maintenance Technician (AVH Parks) Salary:
Circa £31,000 annual Full-time, 37 hours per week/permanent
Location:
Based at AWinning Nottinghamshire

At AVH Parks, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing essential operational infrastructure, you’ll help ensure this environment remains safe, accessible and thriving. This is more than grounds maintenance. It’s an opportunity to care for a unique setting where wildlife and water management come together. Every day brings something different, whether you’re maintaining trees, grassland or reed beds, operating specialist equipment or helping protect valuable environmental habitats.
What you’ll be doing- Deliver planned grounds maintenance programmes across parks and operational sites.
- Maintain reed beds, waterways and surrounding habitats.
- Operate a variety of grounds maintenance machinery and equipment.
- Carry out seasonal maintenance activities to keep sites looking their best year-round.
- Collect water quality samples and support environmental monitoring activities.
- Assist with inspections, audits and compliance activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, landowners, business partners and local stakeholders.
- Help maintain site assets, infrastructure and access routes.
- Champion health, safety and environmental best practice.
- Essential Experience in grounds maintenance or associated asset maintenance activities.
- Experience using horticultural or agricultural plant and machinery.
- Experience using hand-held equipment such as strimmer’s, hedge cutters or brush cutters.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Trailer towing entitlement.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Good attention to detail and time management skills.
- A positive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
