Building supervisor

The Governors at Norton Free Primary School are seeking toemploy a permanent buildings supervisor to start before October half term or assoon as possible thereafter following the retirement of our current postholder. You will be responsible for the day-to-day caretaking, security,maintenance and general upkeep of the school site, ensuring the school remains safe, clean and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors.

We are seeking a reliable, punctual, hardworking and committed individual with experience of providing comprehensive sitesupport including security, health and safety, routine maintenance, contractor management and grounds management. You should be highly dependable with astrong work ethic and a proven ability to maintain safe, clean and welcoming environments for pupils, staff, visitors and colleagues. Confident working independently and as part of a team, with excellent practical skills and a flexible approach to day-to-day responsibilities.

• School caretaking and premises management
• Site security andkey holding
• Opening and securing the school site
• Complete regular Health & safety checks and ensure compliance
• Carry out Fire alarm testing and Routine site inspections
• Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs
• Identify and report potential maintenance and safety issues.
• Manage Contractors attending the school management and control site access
• Grounds and external area maintenance
• Set up rooms for school activities and events/Move furniture and equipment as required
• Facilities management including line managing cleaners
• Stock control and stores management
• Deliveries and logistics
• Documentation andrecord keeping
• Customer service and communication
