Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor
Location: Great Yarmouth
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competitive, DOE
Hours: Full time
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor to lead and coordinate warehouse, stores, goods in/goods out, logistics and division operations within a fast moving manufacturing environment. You will drive stock accuracy, efficient material flow and safe, high performing operations, while providing day to day leadership to the onsite teams.
This is a hands on supervisory role requiring strong communication, organisation and leadership skills, with the ability to improve processes, maintain compliance and support production demands.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support warehouse, logistics, dispatch teams
- Plan daily workload and allocate labour effectively
- Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, accuracy and compliance
- Oversee stock accuracy and ensure alignment with Sage system records
- Manage requisitions, stock returns and associated documentation
- Ensure efficient picking, kitting processes and stores layout
- Identify excess or slow moving stock and support inventory control
- Oversee all goods in and despatch activities
- Check, book in and process incoming goods
- Ensure materials are stored correctly and managed using FIFO
- Ensure orders are picked, packed and despatched on time
- Manage transport, delivery documentation and packaging material availability
- Maintain safe, organised yard areas, including waste and pallet control
- Communicate effectively with Production, Procurement and other departments
Essential
- Experience in warehousing, stores or logistics within a manufacturing environment
- Proven supervisory or team leader experience
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Ability to plan, prioritise and manage a busy operational workload
- High attention to detail with strong numerical and literacy skills
- Experience using ERP or warehouse systems (Sage desirable)
- Competent user of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Proactive, improvement focused approach
- Forklift operation essential (licence desirable; training can be provided)
- Full UK driving licence
