We are a long-established, highly respected,patient-centred GP practice located in the heart of Sheffield, serving apopulation of approximately 9,700 patients as part of the Townships 2 Primary Care Network. Our multidisciplinary team is passionate about delivering high-quality care while creating a positive and supportive environment for bothpatients and staff.

Due to our current Practice Business Managerrelocating following a promotion opportunity closer to home, we are seeking an experienced, motivated, and forward-thinking leader to join our team and helpshape the future of the practice.

Main duties of the job

This is a key senior leadership role, working closely with the 4 GP Partnerswithin the practice.

The successful candidate will support the strategic and operational leadership of the organisation while maintaining a strong focus on patient care, staff wellbeing, innovation, and sustainable practice development.

The role offers a broad and rewarding portfolio including:

Job responsibilities

The Practice Business Manager is a key member of the leadership team and will be expected to demonstrate strong senior management, organisational, and leadership skills.

The successful candidate will play a central role in supporting the continued success and development of the practice by identifying and implementingstrategic objectives through a combination of personal initiative, effectivedelegation, staff motivation, and collaborative working.

The rolecarries responsibility for assessing organisational performance, developingrealistic and achievable goals, and implementing systems and processes that improve operational effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability. Thepostholder will also ensure that the practice remains fully compliant with allstatutory, regulatory, contractual, and legal requirements.

The role ofmedical practice management has become increasingly important and complex inrecent years. Alongside maintaining excellent standards of patient care, the practice must continue to operate efficiently within a rapidly changing NHSenvironment. This includes ensuring financial stability, supporting and developing a highly motivated workforce, and maintaining compliance acrossareas such as health and safety, employment legislation, CQC standards,information governance, and wider NHS contractual obligations.

Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be confident and experienced in people management, financial oversight, strategic planning, organisational development, and information technology. The successful candidate will be expected to take a proactive and forward-thinkingapproach, helping to maximise the practices potential across business development, finance, premises management, human resources, digital innovation,and collaborative working relationships, while maintaining a strong focus onpatient care and operational excellence.

A key aspectof the role will involve ensuring that the Partners remain fully informed aboutlocal and national NHS developments, proposals, and initiatives.
