Associate Quantity Surveyor​/Project Manager

Overview

Built Alliance are partnering with a Sheffield-based, ambitious and fast-growing consultancy to appoint a strategic hire at Senior to Associate level in Quantity Surveying or Project Management, with a clear pathway to becoming Office Lead.

The Sheffield team is already productive, with promotions at board level forming a real opportunity for the right person to step into an integral leadership role. You would be one of the first hires from a QS/PM discipline in a team largely made up of building surveyors, providing a unique position within the business from day one.

Following a strong start to 2026, the firm has a range of projects including a multi-million-pound new build zoo facility, a major town regeneration scheme, and several education academies. Given the scale of this work, a strong technical QS or PM background is required to help lead delivery with confidence.

• Support delivery of complex projects with a strong technical focus in QS or PM disciplines.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to help drive project outcomes and quality.
• Contribute to the project lifecycle from planning through to completion, ensuring value and risk management.
• Participate in early-stage project reviews and decision-making to maintain delivery timelines.

• Strong technical background in Quantity Surveying or Project Management (RICS/QS/PM related qualifications preferred).
• Experience with cost management, contract administration, and cost consultancy activities.
• Ability to lead delivery on complex schemes and to progress towards an Office Lead role.
• Business development experience is a bonus but not a pressing requirement at this level.
