We are looking for 2 highly motivated Team Managers to join our journey and be part of a passionate service that is committed to improving the quality of lives of vulnerable adults across Sheffield.

We are looking to recruit Team Managers in the following service areas:1 x 2-year fixed position in The Neurodiversity and complex needs Team1 x 2-year fixed position in Maximising Independence Team Adults Future Options, Neurodiversity and Complex Needs Team (2-year fixed position)
Are you passionate about improving outcomes for neurodivergent adults and people with complex needs? We are seeking an innovative and motivated Team Manager to lead our newly established Neurodiversity and Complex Needs Team.

This exciting new multidisciplinary service has been created to provide high-quality assessment, intervention, and support planning for autistic adults and individuals with complex needs, ensuring people receive the right support at the right time. The team will play a key role in preventing crises, promoting independence, supporting transitions into adulthood, and reducing reliance on costly and restrictive services.

As Team Manager, you will lead a team of Social Workers and Occupational Therapists, providing professional leadership, oversight of complex casework, and driving the development of this innovative service. You will work closely with colleagues across Adult Social Care, Health, Housing, Education, Employment Services, and community partners to deliver coordinated, person-centred support.

We are looking for someone who:

Has substantial experience within Adult Social Care and complex case management.

Demonstrates strong leadership and people management skills.

Is committed to strengths-based, person-centred practice.

Has experience working with autistic adults and/or people with complex needs.

Can build strong partnerships across organisations and services.

2.uk Maximising Independence Team – Enablement Team Manager (2-year fixed position)
A new exciting opportunity for an experienced team manager to join the Adult Mental Health Social Care service in Sheffield City Council. Applications are welcome from allied health professionals, social workers, and social care managers interested in developing their skills. Secondment opportunity is possible.

Would you like lead and development a new enablement team with the Maximising Independence Service?

Your team would be focussing on assessing and supporting people with complex and enduring mental health needs to move on in their lives. Your team will support people to become more independent by reassessing needs and supporting them move on from long-term provision via an MDT approach to (re) gaining abilities and skills, set enablement goals, and taking advantage of opportunities to grow and develop their lives.

Enablement is often accessing more community facilities, increasing social networks, creating more positive recovery focused interests, and reducing reliance on adult social care provision.

You will lead the team to ensure that people are successfully enabled through our new enablement process.

You will need to have a good understanding working with the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Occupational Therapy assessment and therapy plans.

Knowledge, skills and experience of supporting people with enduring mental illness to move on in their life would be very beneficial to this role, along with management and leadership experience.
