We are looking for an experienced Team Manager to lead and inspire Support Managers within our Home First Community Team, helping adults across Sheffield regain independence, stay safe, and continue living well s is a varied and rewarding leadership role at the heart of Adult Care and Wellbeing.

You will shape day-to-day operational delivery, support high standards of reablement practice, and work closely with colleagues and partners to deliver services that are responsive, effective and person-centred. You will bring energy, judgement and a strong improvement mindset to help the service continue to develop and thrive.

What you’ll be doing

Lead, motivate and support a team delivering high-quality, strengths-based reablement services.

Make sure everyday service delivery is safe, responsive, efficient and focused on positive outcomes for people.

Use staffing, budgets and resources wisely to meet service priorities and customer needs.

Drive service improvement through planning, quality assurance, performance monitoring and learning.

Build strong working relationships with internal teams, external agencies, partners and stakeholders.

Develop staff through supervision, appraisal, mentoring, coaching and clear performance support.

Represent the service and deputise for the Registered Manager at meetings and working groups when needed.

Contribute to change management, business continuity and out-of-hours arrangements.

About youYou will be someone who leads with clarity, confidence and care. You will have strong operational management experience in social care and the ability to bring out the best in people, creating a positive team culture where staff feel supported, accountable and able to do their best work.

You will understand the needs of older people and adults with complex needs, and you will be passionate about safe, effective and person-centred support. You will bring sound judgement, strong communication skills, experience of partnership working, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Essential requirements

Experience of supervising, managing and developing staff within social care provision.

Experience of working with older people or adults with complex needs and their carers.

Experience of multi-disciplinary working, service improvement and change management.

Knowledge of care standards, health and social care frameworks, and customer-focused service delivery.

Experience of budget, resource and performance management.

A recognised Health and Social Care qualification at minimum NVQ Level 4 or equivalent.
