Role: CAD Technician
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum
Location:
South Sheffield
Hours:
Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm, Friday 8:00am–2:00pm
Contract:
Office-based, full-time
We are seeking an experienced CAD Technician with a strong background in Architectural Metalwork for the construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team where you’ll be involved in producing detailed technical drawings and supporting the delivery of high-quality metalwork projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce 3D models using AutoCAD and Advanced Steel
* Prepare general arrangement drawings and detailed fabrication drawings
* Apply strong knowledge of steel and aluminium fabrication, including welding
* Work closely with Contracts Managers and client teams to meet project requirements and deadlines
* Carry out site measurements as required
Skills & Experience Required
* Proficient in AutoCAD (Advanced Steel experience is desirable)
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Dependable, proactive and willing to learn and develop
* Flexible and adaptable to changing project demands
* Confident using Excel and Word
* Able to work effectively as part of a team
