Salary : £14.70p to £16.20p / hour (Negotiable)

Equivalent £30.7k to £33.8k / annum + bonuses

Hours : 40 / week

The role is for an experienced sheet metal fabricator to work in a busy fabrication shop to produce both standard and bespoke equipment used in the quality control / NDT sector.

This will encompass all aspects of fabrication, including : MIG & TIG welding (typically 1.5 to 10mm thick material), marking out, drilling and tapping to close tolerances, and operating associated fabrication equipment.

Employment would start on 6 month fixed term contract with a permanent contract offered on successful completion of the fixed term period.

• MIG & TIG welding of stainless steel and mild steel
• Work with stainless steel to a high-quality finish
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Experience of operating guillotines and bending machines
• Basic math and problem solving skills
• Marking out, drilling and tapping to close tolerances

• Effective communication and organisational skills.
• A team player with the ability to work independently and able to work to tight deadlines under pressure, whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Starting pay is £14.70p to £16.20p / hour and attracts two 1% bonuses in April and September and a discretionary bonus in November after 12 months.

The role is contracted for 40 hours a week with 12 : 30pm finish on Friday.

Working Hours – Mon to Thurs (7.30am to 5.00pm), Fri (8.30am to 5.00pm)
