Summary

Laser Operator position available at Temploy Connection Limited in Sheffield. This role is essential in supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality staffing solutions within the construction sector by operating laser cutting equipment efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

* Machine operation and setup, load programmes, select correct setting and prepare material for cutting

* Operate laser machines to cut parts to specifications, monitoring performance and quality.

* Quality control, Inspect finished parts for accuracy and compliance with dimensional standards, identifying and reporting defects

* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment.

* Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to meet production deadlines.

* Maintain accurate records of production runs and machine maintenance.

* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

* Assist in material handling and preparation for laser cutting processes.

Skills & Experience Required:

* Experience with Bystronic and Amanda Lazers essential

* Proven experience as a laser operator or in a similar role within manufacturing or fabrication environments.

* Mechanical knowledge related to machinery setup, operation, and maintenance.

* Familiarity with fabrication processes such as welding, grinding, and sheet metal work is advantageous.

* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

* Strong attention to detail and precision in work.

* Good understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing.

* Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.

* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
