Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We are currently recruiting Mechanical Maintenance Engineers for workshop-based roles across Sheffield and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established operation, carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide range of production machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance

* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults

* Read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals

* Maintain and service a variety of production machinery

* Complete accurate maintenance records and documentation

* Liaise with production teams to minimise downtime and improve machine reliability

The Ideal Candidate :

* Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a workshop or manufacturing environment

* Previous experience maintaining and repairing conveyor systems, gearboxes, pumps, and other production machinery

* Strong mechanical maintenance skills (electrical experience is advantageous)

* Good working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics

Qualifications:

* Apprenticeship trained

* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
