Job Type: Full Time | Permanent
Shift Pattern: 24/7 Operation – 12-hour shifts (Days & Nights) on a 4-week rotating rota (typically 5 shifts one week, 2 shifts the next)
Job Description
We are seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join a busy, high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is key to ensuring maximum machine uptime, improving reliability, and supporting continuous improvement across the site. You will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of production and plant equipment while working as part of a skilled engineering team within a fast-paced 24/7 operation.
Day to Day of the Role
You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery, automation, and site services. The role involves fault finding, repairs, and supporting improvements to increase efficiency and equipment performance. You will also provide clear handovers between shifts and contribute to maintaining a safe, reliable, and high-performing production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs
Electrical fault finding on production and plant equipment
Maintain and repair automated machinery, conveyors, robots, and associated systems
Work with pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical components
Minimise downtime and ensure production continuity
Support continuous improvement and efficiency projects
Maintain accurate maintenance records and shift handovers
Work safely and collaboratively within a 24/7 engineering team Experience & Skills Required
Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Strong electrical fault finding and maintenance skills (essential)
Multi-skilled capability with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Experience with PPM systems and preventative maintenance
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Good organisational and communication skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
PLC knowledge or interrogation skills (advantageous but not essential)
