Fitter & Turner

This Fitter/Turner role is a hands‑on workshop position focused on building, assembling and machining precision components for robotic equipment

• Build and assemble robotic equipment, including mechanical assemblies and sub‑assemblies.
• Machine components using manual mills and lathes, working accurately to drawings.
• Plan work steps, complete checklists and follow build procedures to meet project requirements.
• Inspect incoming and manufactured parts against mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Work collaboratively with engineering and R&D teams to deliver projects on time.
• Repair, upgrade and maintain mechanical assemblies as required.
• Support general workshop activities, including packing, loading and occasional off‑site work.

• Proven experience as a Fitter/Turner or Assembly Fitter in a precision engineering environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Experience operating manual mills and lathes safely and accurately.
• Good mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail and quality.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a workshop team
