What You’ll Do
As a Procurement Operations Co-ordinator you will be entrusted with significant responsibility for managing supplier relationships globally. Your day-to-day activities will involve:
- Manage procurement activities across 86 suppliers as well as the manufacturing plant.
- Oversee supplier relationships in the UK, USA, Europe, and Asia.
- Identify potential stock issues early on and proactively update relevant stakeholders while resolving any outages efficiently to minimise disruption.
- Plan and coordinate inbound logistics with key providers by optimising container builds and delivery schedules. Additionally, coordinate freight bookings with multiple forwarders.
- Work closely with the manufacturing plant in Sheffield to schedule production campaigns.
To excel as a Procurement Operations Co-ordinator you will bring proven experience in procurement or supply chain roles. Your background should include:
- Excellent interpersonal skills enable you to build rapport with colleagues across departments as well as external suppliers around the world.
- Solution-orientated thinking allows you to address challenges collaboratively.
- Strong numerical abilities help you forecast demand accurately and manage complex data sets involving multiple suppliers.
- Experience working within manufacturing environments gives you insight into production scheduling processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Business Central is beneficial.
