Descale Operative
£14.86 per hour, 4 on / 4 off, Monday – Thursday – no weekends. 12‑week temporary to permanent contract in Sheffield.
Metalis are currently in partnership with a well‑established steel company based in Sheffield who are looking to hire Descale Packers on a 12‑week temporary to permanent basis.
Roles and Responsibilities- Coil strapping
- FLT driving
- Use of coil compactor and strapping tools
- Use of hydraulic and hand crop shears
- Coil grinding
- Data input into a computer
- Experience working in a steel environment
- Experience with FLT’s
- Open to training opportunities
- 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
- £14.86 per hour; overtime available at enhanced rates
- Two day shifts and two night shifts
- No weekend work
- 12‑week temporary to permanent contracts
- Drug/Alcohol and Medical Testing required
