Position Overview
Reed Engineering & Manufacturing is working with a leading Engineering & Manufacturing company. This role is a Raw Materials / Stores position in a safety-critical alloy manufacturing environment. The main responsibility is accurately managing, storing, and preparing raw materials for production.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately managing, storing, and preparing raw materials for production.
- Precision and attention to detail.
- Health & Safety compliance.
- Quality assurance.
- Stock and material control within a production setting.
- Follow strict QA procedures to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Received and checked incoming goods against delivery documentation.
- Weighing and preparing materials with high attention to detail and precision.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping in line with health & safety requirements.
- Supported inventory control and material usage tracking.
- Operated material handling equipment (FLT / cranes where applicable).
- Coordinated incoming and outgoing deliveries efficiently.
- Contributed to continuous improvement and audit activities.
- High accuracy & attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Process-driven mindset.
- Good numeracy (weighing, measuring, recording).
- Safety & Quality Focus.
- Awareness of safety-critical environments.
- Following strict QA procedures.
- Maintaining clean, organised workspace.
- Stock control / materials handling.

- Working with cranes / forklifts (training provided if needed).

- Maintained high standards of housekeeping in line with health & safety requirements.
- Worked independently for extended periods while meeting productivity and quality targets.
- Supported inventory control and material usage tracking.
- Operated material handling equipment (FLT / cranes where applicable).
- Coordinated incoming and outgoing deliveries efficiently.
- Contributed to continuous improvement and audit activities.
If you have warehouse or metals experience, or stores experience ideally within a metals background, it would be advantageous.
BenefitsDAYS ONLY - ALSO INCLUDES A BONUS OF UP TO 15% WHICH EQUATES TO A BONUS OF UP TO £4,707 ON TOP OF THE BASIC SALARY.
