We now have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Seating Technician to join our manufacturing team in Sheffield.

As Trainee Seating Technician you will work Seating Manufacturing Team to manufacture and repair specialist seating, ensuring customer orders are processed effectively to satisfy the requirements of the clinician / patient. Key duties and responsibilities:
Maintaining in process department product quality standards. Interpreting customer orders, identifying raw material requirements associated with the construction of Specialised Seating Working to drafts and measurements supplied by Clinician. Marking and cutting patterns Maintaining team performance against agreed targets in-line with department standard times and volumes. Identifying opportunities for process improvement, increased productivity, or reduced product cost. Liaising with the Clinicians.

What are we looking for? As Trainee Seating Technician , you will have the following. Essential skills Experience in a production background. A basic understanding of the anatomy and terminology associated with the manufacture of Seating Products. Competent in operation of light machinery from this will include grinders / buffers. Competent in working to drafts and measurements supplied by Clinician.

Ability to mark and cut patterns. Good hand skills Capable of working on own initiative and as part of a team to ensure key performance measures are achieved in-line with department targets. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritise and manage own workflow. What can we offer you?
