Overview

We are seeking an experienced Alloys Materials Sortation Operative to join our production team. This role is ideally suited to someone with a solid background in the scrap metal, recycling, or revert materials sector who has a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of alloy classification.

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, identifying, and grading a wide range of metal materials, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and classify incoming metal and revert materials using handheld XRF equipment and visual assessment techniques.
• Sort materials accurately according to alloy grade, composition, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Detect and isolate contaminated materials, including welded repairs, coatings, inserts, attachments, and other foreign substances.
• Maintain rigorous segregation procedures to ensure material traceability and eliminate the risk of cross-contamination.
• Record inspection findings and grading outcomes accurately using company systems and processes.
