Mechanical Assembler

£15.76 per hour, Sheffield, S9 near Meadowhall, days/nights on a weekly rotating shift pattern, quarterly Bonus, Christmas shutdown, annual safety bonus, premium overtime rates, temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

We have an excellent opportunity for you to work for a worldwide engineering provider at one of their Sheffield based sites. They are looking to recruit for a Mechanical Assembler to help support the increased demand in production. Reporting to the shift manager, day to day duties will include;

• Assembling steel boxes
• Using hand tools
• Preparing boxes ready for production
• Working to detailed specifications
• General housekeeping of the work area
• Welding

A successful Mechanical Assembler will need to have excellent focus, have a reliable, proactive approach to work and have experience in a fast-paced working environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering business offering stability within a supportive team environment. This role would suit anyone who has worked as an Assembly Technician, Bench Fitter, Mechanical Fabricator within a manufacturing or production setting. Previous welding experience is not required, as our client can provide the opportunity to train with MIG, TIG and stick welding.

The successful Mechanical Assembler will receive:

• £15.76 per hour (including shift allowance)
• Rotating shift pattern
• Days:
  Monday to Thursday 6am-4pm, Nights:
  Monday to Wednesday 8pm-6am / Thursday 4pm-2am
