Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting:

We are looking for a Plater for a permanent position based with our client in Sheffield

Immediate start available (subject to interview process)

Rate of pay £18.00 per hour for basic hours

The successful Plater will be working within a busy steel fabrication environment, carrying out fabrication and assembly work to a high standard.

Duties will include:

Reading and working from engineering drawings
Measuring, marking out and preparing steel components
Fitting and assembling steel structures and components
Using a range of hand and workshop tools
Working closely with welders and other members of the fabrication team
Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to specification
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience as a Plater / Fabricator Plater
Strong experience working within a steel fabrication environment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Confident with measuring, marking out and fitting
Good attention to detail and quality
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Relevant fabrication experience and qualifications would be advantageousNVQ Level in Plating or Fabrication and Welding would be expected.
