The Role As an Assembly Operative, you will assemble and prepare our electrical connection and lighting products to the required specifications, quality standards and deadlines. Following works orders, specification sheets and drawings, you will select the correct components and use a range of hand and power tools to assemble products accurately. You will check your work for defects, resolve or report assembly issues and ensure completed products are inspected to the required quality standards.
Additionally, you will:
- Assemble box kits and other product variations
- Maintain accurate production and progress records
- Report missing, incorrect or defective components
- Monitor packing material stock levels
- Support and train new employees and agency staff About You To be considered as an Assembly Operative, you will need:
- Experience working on a production line within a manufacturing organisation
- General knowledge of manufacturing and production procedures
- The ability to operate hand and power tools and machines
- The ability to follow instructions and diagrams and read technical drawings
- To be customer-focused, with excellent communication and listening skills
- Numeracy and literacy skills
- At a minimum, five GCSEs or equivalent Other organisations may call this role Production Operative, Packing Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Assembly Worker, Production Line Operative, or Manufacturing Worker.
