We have an excellent opportunity for you to work for a worldwide engineering provider at one of their Sheffield based sites. They are looking to recruit for a Foundry Operative on a permanent basis to help support the increased demand in production. Reporting to the Shift Manager, day to day duties will include;
- Loading and unloading furnaces safely and efficiently
- Operating and monitoring industrial machinery and production equipment
- Moving and positioning steel using FLT (Forklift Truck) and overhead cranes
- Operating saws and cutting equipment in line with production requirements
- Carrying out routine checks on machinery and reporting faults or issues
Ensuring materials are correctly positioned and prepared for the next stage of production - Following production schedules and meeting daily output targets
- Completing shift paperwork, production records and relevant documentation accurately
