THE

OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an Ecommerce Manager to take ownership of the day‑to‑day performance and growth of SBD’s ecommerce business. This role will be responsible for managing our Shopify and Amazon channels, ensuring best‑in‑class execution across site performance, merchandising, and digital marketing activity.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will play a key role in driving ecommerce growth, optimising marketing investment, and shaping how SBD serves its customers online. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver a seamless customer experience that reflects the premium quality of our products and brand.

This is a hands‑on, high impact role within a fast growing business, offering the opportunity to make meaningful commercial contributions, influence ecommerce strategy, and help strengthen SBD’s connection with the strength and fitness community.

What you’ll be doing Ecommerce Strategy & Leadership
  • Define and execute SBD’s global ecommerce strategy, aligned with overall commercial and brand objectives.
  • Own the ecommerce roadmap across Shopify and Amazon, prioritising growth, scalability, and customer experience.
  • Build, lead, and develop the ecommerce function, including internal team members and external partners/agencies.
  • Act as the senior ecommerce voice within the business, influencing cross‑functional decision‑making.
Platform & Channel Ownership
  • Full ownership of all Shopify DTC & B2B storefronts (multi‑region, multi‑currency).
  • Strategic and operational leadership of all Amazon marketplaces, including content, promotions, compliance, and advertising.
  • Ensure best‑in‑class onsite experience, merchandising, conversion optimisation, and retention.
  • Oversee platform development, integrations, and technical partners.
Commercial & Financial Accountability
  • Full P&L ownership for ecommerce, including revenue, margin, contribution, and marketing efficiency.
  • Lead forecasting, budgeting, and long‑term growth planning.
  • Own pricing, promotional strategy, and product assortment decisions across ecommerce channels.
  • Deliver sustainable, profitable growth at scale.
Marketing & Growth
  • Own and control all ecommerce and performance marketing expenditure.
  • Set strategy and oversee execution across paid media (Google, Meta, Amazon Ads, affiliates, and emerging channels).
  • Ensure strong collaboration between brand, creative, and performance marketing to balance growth with premium brand positioning.
  • Drive continual improvement in CAC, ROAS, LTV, and customer retention.
Data, Insight & Optimisation
  • Establish clear performance frameworks, dashboards, and reporting for senior leadership.
  • Use data to guide decision‑making across channels, campaigns, and customer journeys.
  • Champion a culture of testing, learning, and optimisation.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with commercial, finance, design, production, marketing, and wholesale teams to align inventory, launches, and campaigns.
  • Ensure seamless execution across product drops, athlete partnerships, and global events.
THE SKILLS
  • Senior‑level ecommerce leadership experience, ideally within a premium consumer or sports brand.
  • Deep hands‑on expertise with Shopify and Amazon.
  • Proven experience owning significant digital marketing budgets and delivering profitable growth.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing ecommerce P&Ls.
