PPC Account Manager The Role

Reporting to the PPC Team Leader, you will manage the day-to-day delivery of paid media campaigns across a varied portfolio of clients.

You will be responsible for monitoring and optimising campaign performance, managing budgets, producing clear reports and communicating directly with clients. You’ll have support and oversight from experienced members of the PPC team while being encouraged to take increasing ownership of your accounts and development.

This role would suit someone with at least one year of hands‑on PPC experience who is ready to develop their technical knowledge, client communication skills and campaign ownership within an agency environment.

Key Responsibilites

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up, monitoring and optimising campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads and other relevant paid media platforms.
  • Analysing campaign performance and making informed adjustments to improve efficiency and return on investment.
  • Managing budgets and performance against agreed client objectives and KPIs, including leads, revenue, cost per acquisition and ROAS.
  • Conducting keyword research and identifying new opportunities for campaign growth.
  • Writing effective ad copy and creating well-structured campaigns.
  • Identifying performance trends, risks and opportunities and responding to them proactively.
  • Producing clear reports that explain performance, work completed and recommended next steps.
  • Communicating directly with clients and contributing confidently to campaign calls.
  • Ensuring appropriate conversion tracking and KPI measurement are in place, with support where needed.
  • Working with developers, designers, SEO specialists and other members of the team to support wider client objectives.
  • Supporting the business development team with campaign insight and proposals when required.
  • Keeping up to date with changes to paid media platforms, industry trends and best practice.
  • Looking for opportunities to develop your knowledge and improve the performance of client campaigns.
Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone with hands‑on PPC experience who is comfortable working across multiple campaigns and communicating with different clients and stakeholders.

Agency experience would be beneficial, but it isn’t essential. More importantly, you’ll be analytical, organised and motivated to develop your knowledge and take greater ownership of campaign performance.

If you meet most, but not all, of the criteria below, we would still encourage you to apply.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • At least two years of hands‑on experience in a PPC or paid media role.
  • Practical experience setting up, managing and optimising Google Ads campaigns.
  • Experience managing campaign budgets and working towards performance targets.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn performance data into clear actions.
  • The ability to write effective ad copy and structure campaigns appropriately.
  • A working knowledge of Google Analytics 4 and conversion tracking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise your workload, meet deadlines and manage multiple campaigns.
  • A good overall understanding of digital marketing.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience working in a digital marketing agency.
  • Hands‑on experience managing Meta Ads or other paid social campaigns.
  • Experience using Google Tag Manager.
  • Experience working with e‑commerce campaigns and product feeds.
  • Current Google Ads certifications.
