Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in a diverse and vibrant student community? Look no further! The University of Sheffield is currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Student Engagement & Development Coordinator.

As a Student Engagement and Development Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the experiences of student residents. You will use your team working abilities, and skills in marketing and communications to engage a diverse range of students, fostering a sense of community and providing valuable support throughout their time at the University.

• Lead on implementation of Residence Life communication strategies, ensuring an integrated and holistic approach across the section. To include the development of articles and advertising/promotion of events and campaigns via webpages, newsletters, emails and social media.
• Work collaboratively and creatively with the Student Engagement and Development Manager, The Engagement and Development Officer and ACS Marketing, to analyse data and create reports and develop recommendations for service improvement in terms of marketing activities.
• Coordinate content for the Residence Life webpages, liaising with colleagues in Residence Life and across ACS, and implementing any in-cycle updates where needed.
• Work collaboratively with ACS Marketing to include attending regular Marketing team meetings.
• Maintain an up to date knowledge of best practice within the HE sector and develop new ideas by research, networking with other offices and contributing to relevant working groups.
• Manage the allocation of student staff and coordinate rotas to ensure effective delivery of the programme, collaborating with Student Support Managers as required to monitor attendance and performance and ensure accurate payroll data.
• Represent Residence Life and the wider ACS department at relevant meetings and events, for example Open Days, Housing Fair, Activities Fair, Arrivals Weekend etc.
• As a member of staff you will be encouraged to make ethical and student-focussed decisions in your role, embedding the ACS Vision, Mission and Values into your working activities wherever possible.
• As a member of our Professional staff you will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to the professional Shared Skills and Behaviours Framework.
• Carry out other duties, commensurate with the grade and remit of the post.
