Social Media & Content Marketing Executive; Mandarin​/English – Xiaohongshu & WeChat

We are looking for a bilingual content marketer to grow our Xiaohongshu (RED) and WeChat Official Account presence. Your main goal is to build meaningful engagement with parents and students and turn that engagement into enquiries and clients. You will work directly with the founders and have real ownership of our social media strategy.

• Plan and publish a regular content calendar on Xiaohongshu and our WeChat Official Account.
• Create engaging, trustworthy content in Mandarin (with English where suitable) on UK education topics, such as school entry, 11+/13+, GCSE/A-Level, UCAS and postgraduate applications, and tutoring success stories.
• Write content that speaks directly to the concerns of Mainland Chinese families considering a UK education.
• Make sure all content follows each platform’s community rules and advertising regulations, including rules on external contact details and restrictions on promotional claims.
• Track performance, such as reach, engagement, follower growth and enquiries generated, and report monthly with recommendations.
• Keep up with platform trends and algorithm changes, and adapt the strategy accordingly.

• Fluent in Mandarin and English, written and spoken.
• A strong understanding of Xiaohongshu and WeChat platform rules, content policies and best practice.
• An understanding of the priorities and concerns of Mainland Chinese families, particularly around education.
• Able to create content that drives action, not just views.
• Organised, self-motivated and comfortable working independently to agreed goals.
• Desirable: basic graphic design or short-video editing skills (e.g. Canva, Cap Cut); experience or interest in education or international student services.
