Registered Children's Nurse; Bank

Overview

Registered Children’s Nurse (Bank) – Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield, part of Circle Health Group.

Bank role on an "as and when required" basis. Provides cover and supplements staffing during busy periods and absences.

• Deliver age‑appropriate, evidence‑based nursing care for children across a range of clinical settings.
• Monitor and respond to changes in condition, and carry out clinical observations, treatments, and interventions safely.
• Collaborate with medical teams, allied health professionals, and safeguarding leads to ensure coordinated care.
• Contribute to handovers, case reviews, and MDT meetings to ensure continuity and safety.

• Registered Nurse (Children / Paediatrics) with valid NMC registration.
• Experience delivering nursing care to children and young people in hospital or community settings.
• Strong communication and family liaison skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, emotionally sensitive environment.
• Understanding of safeguarding, child development, and family dynamics.
• Adherence to infection prevention, medicines management, health and safety, and consent protocols.
• EPALS qualification desirable.

Hourly rate: up to £20.00 per hour, depending on experience, training and qualification.
