Senior Registered Nurse – Pre Assessment

Thornbury Hospital, Sheffield – 37.5 hours a week, permanent. Salary up to £37,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Circle Health Group invites applications for a Senior Registered Nurse in the Pre Assessment department. The role is full‑time, flexible shift pattern, at Thornbury Hospital.

• Deliver high‑quality nursing care and lead on the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for complex patients.
• Use advanced clinical knowledge to make timely and appropriate decisions, escalating when necessary.
• Administer medication safely and monitor patient response, ensuring adherence to NMC and local protocols.
• Delegate tasks appropriately, guaranteeing safe and effective workload management across the shift.
• Uphold a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with infection prevention, safeguarding, medicines management, and risk‑reporting procedures.
• Act as a key contact for patients and families, offering clinical updates, reassurance, and information to support shared decision‑making.
• Liaise effectively with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure smooth transitions between services.

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with active NMC registration.
• Significant post‑registration experience in an acute or relevant clinical setting.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor and support a nursing team.
• Strong clinical decision‑making, problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient‑focused approach.
• Confidence working independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Previous experience in a senior or supervisory nursing role desirable.
