Are you ready to step into a leadership role and make a meaningful impact in diabetes and endocrinology care? We are excited to invite applications for the position of Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to join our dynamic and supportive team on Vickers 2 at the Northern General Hospital.

Our Acute Diabetes And Endocrinology Wards Provide High-quality, Patient-centred Care For Individuals With Complex Medical Needs, Including Those With Mental Health Conditions. Each Ward Has a Unique Specialty

Vickers 2 is a specialist ward providing expert, holistic care for patients with diabetic foot ulcers and other diabetes-related complications. The team is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care that supports wound healing, optimises diabetes management, and promotes the best possible outcomes for patients.

As a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in leading, inspiring, and supporting a team of skilled professionals. This position offers the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, influence patient care, and contribute to service development within a thriving, fast-paced environment.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Delivering exceptional nursing care, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and compassion.
  • Leading by example, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional excellence.
  • Supporting the professional development and well-being of staff through mentorship, appraisals, and education.
  • Coordinating patient care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Contributing to the implementation of evidence-based practices and innovative approaches to diabetes, endocrinology, and mental health care.
