Machine Shop Inspector
Ecclesfield, Sheffield
Up to £19.00 per hour
38 hours per week
Monday to Thursday – 4 x 9.5-hour shifts
Overtime available
The OpportunityWe are recruiting for an experienced Machine Shop Inspector to join a well-established heavy engineering company based in Ecclesfield, Sheffield.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled inspector with Faro Arm and CMM experience to work on large, fully machined castings, fabrications and forgings.
You will benefit from a four-day working week, competitive hourly pay and regular overtime opportunities.
The Role- Inspecting fully machined castings, fabrications and forgings
- Operating Faro Arm and CMM inspection equipment
- Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
- Completing dimensional checks against specified tolerances
- Using verniers, inside micrometers and outside micrometers
- Identifying and reporting dimensional or quality issues
- Accurately recording inspection results and documentation
- Previous machine shop inspection experience
- Hands-on Faro Arm experience
- Hands-on CMM experience
- Experience inspecting large machined components
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Confident using precision measuring equipment
- Strong understanding of tolerances and dimensional inspection
- Excellent attention to detail
- Up to £19.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Annual earnings up to approximately £37,544 before overtime
- Four-day working week
- Three-day weekend every week
- Overtime available

Experience- Machine shop inspection: 2 years preferred
- Faro Arm: 1 year required
- CMM inspection: 1 year required
