NDT Inspector (Level 2 UT & MPI)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced NDT Inspector to join a well-established manufacturing organisation. Working within a quality-focused environment, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of non-destructive testing activities and ensuring products meet the required standards and specifications.

This position would suit someone with strong Ultrasonic Testing and MPI experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and safety-conscious team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Ultrasonic Testing (UT) using both immersion and manual scanning techniques.
  • Perform Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI).
  • Ensure all inspections are completed in accordance with relevant procedures, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Calibrate and verify inspection equipment as required.
  • Evaluate inspection results and determine product conformity.
  • Record and report inspection findings accurately and professionally.
  • Raise and document any non-conformances or discrepancies identified during inspection activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across quality and operational processes.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Essential

  • Level 2 Ultrasonic Testing certification.
  • Level 2 Magnetic Particle Inspection certification.
  • Experience interpreting inspection results and producing detailed reports.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards and inspection procedures.
  • A proactive approach to safety and quality.

Desirable

  • Level 2 Dye Penetrant Inspection certification.
  • Immersion and Contact experience would be highly advantageous
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • FLT and/or overhead crane experience.

The role also offers a bonus of of up to £8,790 on top of the salary
