Seven Hills Research Clinic is a new clinic, which is part of the Research Development Unit, and specialises in supporting people with mood disorders and/or anxiety to take part in research. The clinic is funded by Mental Health Translational Research Collaboration - Mission (MHTRC-M) and is set up to accept referrals from both professional services and self-referrals

We are looking for a Registered/Mental Health/LD Nurse who will play an important role in the development of the service. The post holder will work alongside dedicated research staff in both clinical and non clinical settings to support referrals into the clinic.

Sheffield Health Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is currently unable to provide sponsorship for this role. This is in accordance with UKVI guidelines and legislation, as these roles do not meet the skill nor salary threshold for sponsorship. If you hold a visa which allows you to work in the UK, you are welcome to apply for this role however it is important to note that SHSC will be unable to offer sponsorship after your visa expires.

You must also have at least 12 months on your visa at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons.

Main duties of the job

Work across SHPU in the Research Development Unit (RDU) and sites of research activity to enable setup/delivery of portfolio studies.

Assess suitability of patients who are referred to the clinic.

Provide patients with information regarding their participation.

Provide high standards and continuity of care for participants

Work as part of a team to co‑ordinate to successfully recruit participants to time and target.

Participate in the process of initial and on‑going informed consent for the research participant as agreed within the protocols.

Complete research outcome measures with participants and collect data.

Accurately upload source data into specific and national databases and web‑based platforms.

Liaise closely with the research team and other services involved in the delivery of research studies to maintain quality standards for research delivery

Support uptake of new studies and support other researchers to plan, submit and obtain funding for research that is eligible for NIHRRDN portfolio.

Help to deliver non‑commercial and commercial research studies.

Support individual members of the team with all aspects of administrative/research activities.

Work flexibly across SHPU in response to the needs of research projects.

Ensure that research safeguards are in place and that research is conducted within ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines for Research.
