Role Description

We are seeking a Synthetic Organic Chemist to join our team in a full-time on-site capacity based in the Greater Sheffield Area. The successful candidate will conduct laboratory work including the design, synthesis, and analysis of organic compounds. You will contribute to research and development projects, collaborate with internal teams, and support client projects in various industries. Key responsibilities include ensuring high scientific standards, maintaining detailed records of experimental procedures, and utilizing your expertise to advance innovative chemical solutions.

Qualifications
  • A PhD in Organic/Medicinal Chemistry, preferably with a specialization in fluorine chemistry
  • Strong skills in Laboratory Techniques, including safe handling of chemicals and laboratory equipment
  • Proficiency in Research and Development (R&D) and Research to support experimental studies
  • In-depth knowledge of Synthetic Organic Chemistry
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently on complex projects
  • Experience in the drug discovery, pharmaceutical, or related industries is an advantage
