Are you passionate about improving children’s health and making a real difference in communities?
We’re looking for a Research Fellow to join our team based at the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC), Sheffield.
In this exciting role, you’ll lead innovative research focused on children’s growth, health and wellbeing. You will design and deliver studies, working closely with families, schools and partners, using cutting‑edge approaches including anthropometry, imaging, and data analysis to create meaningful impact.
We are committed to diversity and inclusivity, and we’ll develop research that reflects and supports all communities. You’ll help ensure our work is accessible, inclusive, and shaped by the people it aims to benefit.
We’re looking for someone with a passion for research and learning, who is an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively, building relationships, and turning research into real‑world change.
Based in Sheffield, this 36‑month full‑time post offers flexibility, career development and the chance to contribute to one of the UK’s leading research environments.
Benefits and Working Conditions
As a University employee you will be eligible for the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS), a defined‑benefit pension scheme. We remain committed to providing our staff with a competitive reward and benefit offer and to flexible working arrangements, including job‑share, part‑time and flexible working.
We welcome application from ethnic minority applicants who are under‑represented in this area or this type of job at Sheffield Hallam. The University may be able to sponsor the employment of international applicants in this role, depending on factors specific to the applicant.
All offers are subject to an enhanced with‑barred lists check by the Disclosure and Barring Service. A criminal record will not necessarily prevent you from working at Sheffield Hallam University, but its relevance to the duties of the post will need to be assessed before appointment is confirmed.
