Job Description
  • Ensure that food preparation and service from the kitchen meets agreed standards at all times.
  • Maintain strict control while on duty over all food items issued from the kitchen.
  • Ensure all orders are prepared according to instructions on the appropriate check.
  • Adhere to portion control and follow up on any wastage.
  • Store all food, ensuring correct stock rotation and maximum security.
  • Check all goods delivered against relevant documentation for quantity and quality.
  • Encourage and promote communication between the kitchen and other hotel departments at all times.
  • Comply with safe working practices as laid down under the Health and Safety Act.
  • Comply with Food and Hygiene Regulations.
  • Wear appropriate protective clothing provided or recommended by the company.
  • Report any defects in the building or equipment according to hotel procedures.
  • Report any accidents to staff, guests or visitors in accordance with correct procedures.
  • Attend company training when required.
  • Action any other reasonable requests made by management.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as part of a fast‑moving kitchen team with freshness and provenance of ingredients as a key priority.
  • Passion for food and fresh ingredients is a given.
  • A true passion for creativity whilst maintaining the integrity of our brand standards through the dishes on the menu.
