Job Overview

Sales Assistant (Part‑time, 6 hours per week) – Sheffield, Ecclesall Road.

The role is fast‑paced and operates 7 days a week. Flexibility to work on weekends and bank holidays is required, with a preference for Sundays to cover staff holidays and sickness.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with customers, providing exceptional service and promoting the charity’s mission.
  • Organise and merchandise donated stock creatively to maximise sales potential.
  • Collaborate with the E‑Commerce team to maximise online sales.
  • Act as a keyholder when a manager is absent, keeping the store running and ensuring a great customer experience.
  • Work at the till, sort donations, and maintain a clean, welcoming shop floor.
  • Physically move a high volume of donation bags in a dynamic retail environment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum age 18 years.
  • Previous retail experience not essential – passion, energy, and strong customer‑service focus are key.
  • Confident working within a team, including guiding volunteers.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Positive, creative, and confident attitude, passionate about sustainability.
  • Comfortable using a till, PC, smartphone, and e‑mail.
  • Flexible to work mainly on Sundays, other weekends, and bank holidays.
