Legal Indemnity & Estate Administration New Business North of England
We're working with a specialist insurance provider that's investing heavily in growth across the legal indemnity and estate administration space. They're now looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business across the conveyancing and private client markets in the North of England.
This is a genuinely influential role, ideal for someone who understands how legal practices operate, enjoys consultative selling and wants to build long-term, high-value client relationships rather than chase short-term wins.
The opportunity
You'll take ownership of your own new business pipeline, targeting law firms and legal professionals, and positioning a suite of well-regarded insurance products and platforms. Alongside hitting revenue targets, you'll play a visible role in shaping sales strategy, feeding back market insight and helping refine how the business goes to market.

What you'll be doing
- Identifying, engaging and converting new business opportunities within conveyancing and private client law firms
- Managing your own sales pipeline and consistently delivering against revenue targets
- Growing share of wallet within existing accounts by introducing additional products and services
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, clearly demonstrating value rather than leading with price
- Working closely with underwriting, client services and senior leadership to deliver a standout client experience
- Sharing market intelligence, competitor insight and client feedback to influence strategy and product development
- Representing the business professionally at meetings, events and across your territory
- Championing strong governance, ethical selling and client-first thinking in everything you do
What we're looking for
- 2-3+ years' experience working with legal indemnity insurance within the legal sector
- Proven background in business development or sales, ideally within legal services or insurance
- Experience selling into conveyancing and/or private client (wills & probate) environments
- A track record of hitting and exceeding targets
- Confident working remotely and managing a regional territory (North of England)
- Calm, consultative and credible approach with senior legal professionals
- Full UK driving licence
