Due to continued growth, we are delighted to be supporting our client with the recruitment of an experienced Account Manager to join their established sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys both developing new business opportunities and managing long‑term client relationships.

This is a primarily office-based role, with some meetings across the city where the successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing customer accounts whilst also identifying and securing new business opportunities across the South Yorkshire region and surrounding areas. The role would suit candidates who enjoy consultative selling, building strong relationships and delivering tailored solutions to clients.

Working within a highly professional and supportive environment, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving business growth and maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new business opportunities across the South Yorkshire region
  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing client accounts
  • Carry out consultative sales meetings to establish client needs and recommend suitable solutions
  • Manage the full sales process from initial enquiry through to close
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
  • Conduct client visits and maintain regular communication with customers
  • Produce weekly and monthly sales reports and paperwork
  • Maintain excellent product knowledge and keep up to date with industry developments
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high company standards
  • Attend training courses and ongoing professional development opportunities
  • Support the wider sales team where required
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Previous B2B field sales experience (essential)
  • Proven ability to generate and develop new business opportunities
  • Strong consultative sales approach with the ability to identify customer needs and provide value‑led solutions
  • Demonstrable experience of working towards and achieving sales targets
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills
  • Professional, personable and highly customer‑focused
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload independently
  • Commercially minded with excellent negotiation and closing skills
  • Stable career history with a proven track record within sales
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Self‑motivated, ambitious and driven to succeed
