About the Role

We are seeking a commercially driven and technically aware Business Development Manager to support our continued growth within the global sealing solutions sector.

This is a pivotal role responsible for driving revenue growth through new customer acquisition and the identification, development, and conversion of new business opportunities across a diverse range of industries and sales channels.

The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of the sealing solutions markets. You will play a key role in expanding our customer base, strengthening long-term partnerships, and contributing to the strategic direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities Business Development & Growth
  • New customer acquisition
  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within key markets and sectors
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and market expansion
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline from initial lead generation through to contract award
  • Establish and nurture long‑term relationships with OEMs, distributors, and end users
  • Act as the primary commercial contact for new accounts
Market Insight & Strategy
  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of competitor activity, and customer requirements to inform the growth strategy
  • Support business planning by providing accurate sales forecasts, reports, and market analysis
  • Contribute to product development initiatives by sharing customer and industry insights
Commercial & Technical Delivery
  • Understand customer technical requirements and recommend appropriate sealing solutions
  • Translate customer needs into clear technical and commercial proposals
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms in line with company guidelines
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to deliver tailored solutions
Performance & Leadership
  • Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs including revenue, profitability, new customer, acquisition, and pipeline velocity.
  • Ensure activity aligns with wider business strategy and departmental objectives
  • Monitor and report on performance, demonstrating continuous improvement
  • Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism and accountability in all interactions
Operational Excellence
  • Maintain high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, including performance reviews and reporting requirements
  • Support continuous improvement through adherence to SOPs and service standards
  • Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows
About You

You are a results‑oriented business developer with a passion for winning new business and building lasting client relationships. You thrive in a technical environment and are confident engaging with both commercial and engineering stakeholders.

Key skills and experience include:
  • Proven experience in a business development or sales role within manufacturing or engineering
  • Strong understanding of sealing solutions, materials, or related industrial products (preferred)
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into commercial opportunities
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
  • Self‑motivated with a proactive and structured approach to work
