Nigel Wright Group is partnering with Batt Cables to appoint a Head of Sales to lead and transform the UK & Ireland commercial function.
This is a high-impact role at a pivotal moment for the business — following acquisition by COFICAB, Batt is entering a new phase focused on building a more structured, disciplined and high-performing sales organisation.
The OpportunityThis is not a 'steady-state' leadership role.
The business has strong foundations, market presence and product capability — but now requires a step-change in how the sales function operates.
You will:
- Bring structure, rigour and accountability to a national sales organisation
- Improve visibility, forecasting and pipeline control
- Align a multi-site, multi-channel sales team behind a clear commercial approach
- Drive consistent performance, not just growth

Batt Cables is a leading UK distributor of electrical cables, supplying wholesale, contractor and project-led customers across multiple sectors.
Following its 2026 acquisition by COFICAB Group

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead a geographically dispersed UK sales organisation spanning:
- Inside sales teams
- Key account management
- Business development and project‑led sales
You will be accountable for:
- Sales performance and revenue delivery
- Implementing CRM, KPI frameworks and sales cadence
- Developing capability across a mixed‑experience team
- Creating a more disciplined, performance‑driven culture
This is a hands‑on leadership role
, requiring visibility with customers, engagement with the team, and direct ownership of performance.
We’re keen to hear from individuals who have:
- Led a multi‑site B2B sales organisation (c.30–50 people or similar)
- A track record of improving performance through change
, not just inheriting success - Experience implementing or embedding sales processes, CRM systems and KPI disciplines
- Credibility operating across inside sales, field sales and key accounts
Sector experience in electrical distribution, building products or technical wholesale is beneficial — but execution capability is more important than sector purity
