To lead and drive the sales effort for the Aftermarket and Bulk divisions, delivering sustained growth in order intake across spares, service, and bulk material handling solutions.

The role is responsible for developing and executing a clear sales strategy, building and managing a strong sales pipeline, and leading the sales team to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.

In addition, the role will improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the sales function by refining processes, strengthening data and reporting, and optimising tools and strategy to support long-term growth and customer retention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.

  • Oversee team workload, pipeline and performance metrics.
  • Ensure the sales manager’s tactical plans align with the broader company goals for growth and customer retention.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve order intake targets.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, managing leads and opportunities through the sales team.
  • Support the team on high-value deals, negotiations, and customer presentations.
Client and Market Development
  • Engage with clients to understand their challenges and requirements and propose solutions that meet their needs.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners, existing and potential clients.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to understand client needs, industry trends, new technologies and competitive offerings to identify areas for growth.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales proposals and quotes, addressing client requirements and highlighting the unique selling points of our solutions.
  • Partner with marketing to develop lead-generation campaigns focused on new and existing customer base.
  • Represent the company at external exhibitions & events.
  • Travel as required both domestically and internationally to meet the order intake targets.
Sales Performance and Operations
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, coaching, and skills development.
  • Use and ensure consistent use of the company's CRM software to manage sales pipelines, track client interactions, and ensure accurate forecasting.
  • Analyse and report on sales metrics, pipeline health, and team performance.
  • Identify performance gaps and lead action plans to address them.
  • Define sales objectives, KPIs, and performance standards.
  • Implement forecasting tools, dashboards, and processes to improve accuracy and visibility.
Context of the Role

Core Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience leading and developing a sales team, with the ability to motivate individuals and build a high-performance sales culture.
  • Demonstrable experience in a sales role selling aftermarket equipment, service solutions, or engineered systems within an industrial or technical environment.
  • Evidence of successfully and profitably growing sales and order intake over a sustained period.
  • Strong understanding of sales strategy, pipeline development, forecasting, and performance analytics.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret sales and market data to identify growth opportunities and inform sales strategy.
  • Experience managing sales pipelines and opportunities using CRM systems, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Ability to engage confidently with clients, understand their operational challenges, and propose solutions that deliver value.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to support negotiations and high-value sales opportunities.
  • Ability to drive change and improve sales processes, tools, and reporting to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Excellent client-facing, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
