Sales Specialist - About the Opportunity

Are you a dynamic safety, PPE, industrial supplies or MRO sales professional, passionate about raising industry standards and protecting work forces? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a consultative, commercially driven Safety Sales Specialist to join a rapidly growing team.

In this field-based position, you will focus exclusively on a premium, highly innovative Safety & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) portfolio. You will play a pivotal role in shaping safer workplaces by delivering technical expertise, strategic value and specialised safety solutions directly to high-profile clients nationwide.

The Role

As Safety Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for developing long-term, strategic relationships with senior Health & Safety professionals, procurement teams and key decision-makers within large national and key accounts. Working collaboratively with the field sales teams, you will identify, develop and convert new business opportunities through end-user specification, value-add presentations and technical workplace hazard assessments.

Key Responsibilities

* Strategic Account Management:
Develop and manage a robust portfolio of high-opportunity national end users, establishing strong relationships with Health & Safety Managers, procurement heads and executive decision-makers.

* Collaborative Sales Support:
Partner cross-functionally with the regional field sales team to identify, develop and convert safety specifications within existing and prospective national accounts.

* Field-Based Technical Consultation:
Execute targeted joint customer visits, comprehensive site hazard assessments, product demonstrations and technical consultations to prove product efficacy.

* Influence Specification:
Promote the technical and commercial advantages of premium protective solutions, demonstrating superior performance and value over competitor products to secure user specification.

* Education & Training:
Deliver high-quality product applications training and safety education modules to end users, distribution partners and internal commercial teams to drive industry best practice.

* Consultative Growth:
Convert competitive business and capture market share using a value-driven, consultative solution-selling approach.

* Technical Compliance:
Provide comprehensive product support, advising clients on regulatory standards, workplace hazard mitigation and custom PPE selections tailored to complex applications.

* Industry Expertise:
Maintain subject-matter expertise regarding local safety legislation, updated PPE testing standards, industry trends and the capabilities of technical protective portfolio.

What You Bring

* Proven experience in safety, PPE, industrial supplies or MRO sales, business development or specialist consultative roles.

* Strong knowledge of industrial safety legislation, risk assessment methodologies and PPE standards.

* Outstanding communication and presentation capabilities, with the ability to confidently influence senior Health & Safety leaders and procurement teams.

* A collaborative mindset with a track record of supporting field sales representatives to win major corporate business.

* Self-motivated, organized, and highly effective in managing a national, field-based territory.
