Job Description & How to Apply Below

Are you an experienced Sales Development Representative looking for your next challenge? Interested in technology, education, and helping schools thrive? Want to join a high-performing team with a clear path to Account Executive, at a company on an exciting growth trajectory? This might be the role for you!

The company

Our client is an education technology company that has created a unique platform combining the world’s largest CPD and policy library with custom-built tools – developed in collaboration with thousands of schools and over 1,000 education experts.

They empower work forces to transform children’s lives. Their all-in-one platform helps schools, trusts and nurseries stay compliant, raise standards, and reduce staff workload – all through intuitive, powerful software.

If educators need it, they build it.

They have three business divisions:
  • Professional Development: Access the world’s largest CPD library for educators. Meet your statutory training requirements & raise standards with expert-led courses, webinars, podcasts & parent guides.
  • People Development: The complete online platform for people development. Put people at the heart of your school improvement strategy by linking appraisals and professional development. Streamline your entire appraisal process.
  • Compliance Management: Simplify and automate policy compliance. Eliminate the spreadsheets and make manual record-keeping a thing of the past with Policy Manager – our all-in-one policy management tool.
The role

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you’ll support the Sales team in generating, qualifying, and nurturing leads to drive business growth. You’ll play a key role in top-of-funnel activity – identifying and engaging prospective customers – while working closely with both Sales and Marketing.

This role offers valuable exposure to B2B sales within a SaaS environment, including client engagement, pipeline development, and the sales tools and frameworks that underpin it. You’ll also help maintain CRM data integrity and support campaigns designed to maximise lead generation.

Day-to-day includes:

  • Sourcing and reaching out to leads from target prospect lists
  • Qualifying inbound and outbound leads through calls, emails, and Linked In
  • Identifying customer pain points and assessing solution fit
  • Scheduling discovery calls and handing off qualified leads to Account Executives
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM
  • Collaborating with Marketing to improve messaging and targeting
  • Tracking performance against sales development KPIs

The company is passionate about helping organisations grow and thrive through knowledge and connection. You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive, and high-performing team that values its people, supports continuous development, and celebrates success - with a clear route through to an Account Executive role as you build your track record.

The package
  • Opportunity to join a reputable and well-respected brand in education, in an exciting period of growth
  • £26,000 - £30,000 base salary
  • Healthy commission
  • Hybrid working (1-2 days per week at their Sheffield HQ)
