We’re currently looking for a Soil Scientist with 1–3 years’ experience in agriculture and soil surveys to join our Contaminated Land and Agricultural Soil team within the Environmental and Consent division. You’ll work on a variety of projects across the built environment, transport, and water sectors—contributing to both office‑based and fieldwork activities that protect land, water, and public health.

• Conduct literature reviews and write desk studies
• Undertake ALC and AIA
• Undertake soil surveys at a variety of locations across the UK and occasionally overseas
• Contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments and other documents required for planning applications
• Support proposal writing
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions

• Qualified to BSC in relevant subject
• Knowledge of soil physical and chemical properties, processes, systems and assessment
• Knowledge and experience of contributing to soil surveys
• Strong communication skills for reporting and liaising with contractors and clients

• GIS skills
