Lift Service Engineer – Lift Industry

Basic Salary: £42,000 – £46,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
OTE:
Up to £65,000+ per annum (including callout and overtime)
Callout/Standby Earnings: £800 per week

Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lift Engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) to join a highly respected and forward-thinking lift company operating across Sheffield and the surrounding Yorkshire region.

This role focuses on the servicing, maintenance, and minor repair of passenger lifts across a well-organised and local route, ensuring minimal travel and maximum earning potential.

Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Chesterfield, Worksop, Doncaster, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Mansfield

Key Responsibilities of a Lift Engineer:

* Carry out routine lift servicing, maintenance, and minor repairs on a variety of passenger lift systems.

* Diagnose faults quickly and provide first-time fixes wherever possible.

* Log defects, manage parts orders, and keep accurate service records.

* Participate in a fair and balanced call-out rota (including evenings and weekends).

* Maintain high safety standards and ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements of a Lift Engineer:

* Industry-recognised qualification – NVQ Level 3 or equivalent – Essential

* Full, clean UK driving licence – Essential

* Minimum 3 years’ experience in lift service or repair – Essential

* Strong technical knowledge of various lift manufacturers and systems.

* Confident in managing a service route of around 50–60 units across a local Yorkshire patch.

* Currently living a commutable distance from Sheffield or surrounding areas – Essential
