Preventative Maintenance Technician

The Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment and systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance. This role is critical in minimizing downtime, extending equipment life, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Familiarity with safety standards and procedures.
• Basic computer skills for logging maintenance records.

• Conduct regular inspections of mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and adjustments.
• Identify and troubleshoot potential issues before they escalated into major problems.
• Replace worn or damaged parts to prevent equipment failure.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and service reports.
• Collaborate with other technicians and departments to coordinate maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Keep work areas clean and free of hazards.

• Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools (up to 50 lbs).
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and varying environmental conditions.
