Job Overview
Position: HGV Mechanic
Location:
Sheffield
Salary: £55 - 60k
- Maintain the company’s HGV fleet and enhance vehicle performance.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain various vehicles to meet safety and performance standards.
- Conduct vehicle and trailer inspections.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT to DVSA standards.
- Perform brake testing at every inspection.
- Identify faults and carry out repairs using diagnostic equipment.
- Qualification in City and Guilds HGV Part 1, 2 & 3 or NVQ level 3 equivalent.
- HGV Class 1 licence – Desirable, not essential.
- Experience in MOT and service preparation.
- Salary – £55 - 60k DOE.
- Working Monday – Friday 7:00 - 17:00 and Saturday morning (7–12).
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- Immediate start available.
